Setting browser
preferences for QuickTime VR movies
You may
need to change the way your browser handles QuickTime Movies if you can
not fully
see the bottom part of a panorama with the VR controller.

Below is a screenshot of the Internet Explorer 4.0 on a Mac
operating system.
Scroll down to the bottom, the red arrow at the left corner indicates an almost
hidden VR controller.
above,
red arrow: the QuickTime VR controller is not fully
visible, it is "trapped inside" the browser.
The reason is, as you see in the "Edit File Helper" window marked
"4." (in red):
QuickTime Movies are handled as "View with Browser" in the "PREFERENCES"
of
the Internet Explorer browser.
To change
the setting to "Application" or "Plugin" in order to view
QuickTime Movies with the
appropiate file helper, do the following:
(the numbered steps below correspond to the red numbers above)
1. open the PREFERENCES in the browsers EDIT Menu
2. open "Receiving files" and then "File Helpers"
3. locate "QuickTime Movie" in the File Helper Settings with
the extension ".mov"
(the list is long, take your time!)
4. open "QuickTime Movie" and change the handling to "View
with Application" or
"View with Plug-in"
The exact procedure
for your particular platform/operating system (Windows 95/98/NT, Macintosh)
and browser (Netscape Navigator/Communicator, Microsoft Internet Explorer)
may be different from the one described above. Look in your browsers Help
files for "Applications", "File Helpers", "Plugin
Handling", "MIME types" and the like.
Also, assign to your browser more RAM (memory) for optimum
viewing.
