Also, assign more RAM (memory) to your browser and restart your computer before
doing so.

• QuickTime is not an application, but a complete technology for handling
video, sound, animation, graphics,
text, music -
even 360-degree 'virtual reality' scenes.
• QuickTime VR files, 360-degree panoramic views, are controlled by clicking
and dragging the mouse in the movie window. On the Macintosh, the option key
zooms in and the control key zooms out.
On Windows machines, the Shift key zooms in and the control key zooms out.
• QuickTime movies obtained on the Internet can be viewed within a web
browser using the
QuickTime Plug-In or with any application (such as Apple's MoviePlayer) that
supports QuickTime.
Version 3 and 4 of the plug-in (available at no charge from Apple's QuickTime
web site) enables
Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and Netscape Communicator
to display QuickTime-based media directly within a web page. The plug-in supports
all QuickTime media types, including QuickTime VR.
Experiencing virtual reality scenes: QuickTime VR
• QuickTime VR is the groundbreaking portion of QuickTime
that enables the creation and playback
of "interactive photographs" - both 360-degree panoramas and three-dimensional
objects that
can be rotated on screen. Using a mouse and keyboard - with no special gloves,
goggles, or other
equipment - users can explore landscapes and interiors and view objects from
all sides.
• QuickTime VR brings products, museums, cities, scenic areas, and computer-generated
scenes
alive in web pages and CD-ROMs. Tens of thousands of web sites and CD-ROM
titles have
already been enhanced with QuickTime VR technology, including ones from Boeing,
BMW,
Century 21 Real Estate, CNN, Ferrari, IBM, Microsoft, NASA, and the National
Space Society.
